The Blonde vs.The Kitchen: Yogurt Apple Tart

Most people still have serious doubts when it comes to my baking skills.:P In all fairness, I don't bake every day, but when I do, you can be sure I won't miss the opportunity to brag about it. :D
So considering the fact that Saturday I got extremely bored, I have decided to bake a delicious Apple Tart.  

So here's what you need:

  • 130 g softened butter
  • 180 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 190 g all purpose flour
  • 200 ml yogurt
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 10 g vanilla sugar


Mix and match:


  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time and beat after each addition.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix in.
  • Fold in the flour.
  • Fold in the yogurt until the mixture is just combined.
  • Pour into the tin.
  • Peel, core and quarter the apples and cut into slices.
  • Arrange the apples on top of the cake.
  • Mix the vanilla sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the apple.
  • Bake for 1 hour 
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for 30 mins.
